Professor Neil R. Gumenick, M.Ac. (UK), C.T. (Adv.), L.Ac., Dipl.Ac. (NCCAOM) is the Founder, Director, and Chief Instructor of The Institute of Classical Five-Element Acupuncture Inc. and has been in private practice since 1981. He holds three degrees, including Master of Acupuncture (UK) and Advanced Teacher certification from The College of Traditional Acupuncture (UK), awarded by Professor J.R. Worsley. Neil was a ten-year participant and senior coach in the Worsley Institute Master Apprentice Program™. He has served as Professor at Yo San University, Emperor’s College of Traditional Oriental Medicine and SAMRA University, guest instructed at UCLA and USC Schools of Medicine, Pacific College of Oriental Medicine, Santa Barbara College of Oriental Medicine, Worsley Institute of Classical Acupuncture, TAI Sophia, Pacific Rim College, New England School of Acupuncture, and SCUHS. Neil has been a featured presenter at the Pacific Symposium, CSOMA Expo, AOM Alliance, AAMA Symposium, Southwest Symposium, Supply Center Expo, SCHUS Extravaganza, Canadian Oriental Medical Symposium, and the Five Element Acupuncture Symposium. Neil has been published in the European Journal of Oriental Medicine, California Journal of Oriental Medicine, Medical Acupuncture, Oriental Medicine, Meridians Magazine, T’ai Chi Press, L.A. Weekly, the Los Angeles Times, and has been a columnist for Acupuncture Today since 2000, with over 70 articles published to date. Neil received the AAAOM award: Pioneers and Leaders in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in 2007.
