Course Overview
This course expands on the basic principles taught in the Balance System of Acupuncture Level I - Single Systems. This class will discuss treatment of functional and internal disorders and how to treat them with multiple systems of the Balance Method / System of Acupuncture. Students will expand on the knowledge from Level I, extending their clinical reach from musculoskeletal (MSK), orthopedics and pain, to treating internal medicine disorders, including the discussion of complicated cases that include both MSK pain and functional internal disorders. The mirror and imaging format will be further discussed and how it is used in clinical practice to treat internal issues and body pain. Advanced treatments will be discussed such as Eight-Meridian combo for gynecological issues. A Four-Meridian will also be discussed as a treatment strategy to treat bronchial disorders, cardiology symptoms, digestive disorders and urogenital diseases. Practitioners will understand how to approach complicated cases involving multiple meridians in clinical practice. Pre-requisite: Balance System of Acupuncture Level 1 - Single Systems.
Course Objectives
- Select the most efficient meridians to heal multiple sick meridians.
- Differentiate dynamic and static balance.
- Design a treatment plan/strategy that incorporates dynamic and static balance to heal multiple meridians.
- Apply pre-designed strategies to treat a variety of health conditions.
- Locate specific acupuncture points within the Balance Method/System.

0 hrs - 15 minReview of the history and origins of the Balance System of Acupuncture. Review of Acupuncture Level 1 - Single Systems. Review of Imaging and Mirror format.
15 min - 30 minIntroduction of the strategies of the structure of Multiple Systems (Global) balancing.
30 min - 1.5 hrsTreating Functional Disorders: Strategy A - $LBP. Visual presentation and protocol of $LBP. Discussion of dosage and review of Global Balance requirements.
1.5 hrs - 1.75 hrsTreating Functional Disorders: Strategy B and C - Dr. R. Tan’s Magic 4 Midline meridians - for chest disorders (cardio-pulmonary), and for low abdominal disorders (gastrointestinal urogential). Visual presentation and protocol of Magic 4 Midline.
1.75 hrs - 2.25 hrsTreating Functional Disorders: Strategy D - Dr. R. Tan’s Magic 9 meridians - for any digestive disorders. Visual presentation and protocol of Magic 9.
2.25 hrs - 2.5 hrsDiscussion of choosing between Single vs. Multiple systems balancing. Case studies.
2.5 hrs - 2.75 hrsTreating Functional Disorders: Strategy D - Dr. R. Tan’s Magic 4 for any Heat (defy or xs). Visual presentation and protocol of Magic 4 Heat.
2.75 hrs - 3 hrsTreating Functional Disorders: Strategy E - Dr. R. Tan’s Magic 4 Female Hormone balance.
3 hrs - 3.25 hrsTreating Functional Disorders: Strategy F - Dr. R. Tan’s Magic 4 Male Hormone balance.

4 hrs - 4.5 hrsSummary and review of guidelines to constructing treatments for internal diseases and cases involving both pain and functional problems. Summary of all pre-designed "Magic" strategies. Summary of further levels of learning and support.

After finishing school, I was left with feelings of uncertainty. Questions would arrise, "What am I going to do if Pt. "X" comes in?". "Am I going to just make up some treatment or am I going to leave the room and look onto the books?". Going through these two modules gave me some basic tools that I am going to be able to use on day one of opening the doors to my clinic. Also, as a side note, I have treated several people with pain and have gotten 50% pain reduction or better in in the first treatment. My wife strained her back pretty bad and I did the $LBP protocol and adjusted the points using the mirror imaging then chased the pain. Note that this was very acute. Same day treatment and she could bearly move. She got 50% reduction on the table but was very sore and could not move well in bed and had a poor nights sleep, but the next day, she was outworking me in cleaning the house. By day 2 she was pain free and was doing pushups in the morning. Having been a Nurse for over 20 years, I have never seen anything like it.

After doing the course, I used the Balance method on my next patient, who had been suffering from R) abdo pain, low energy, numbness and discolouration in both lower limbs and lower back pain for over 7 years. Despite multiple tests and doctor visits, nothing was found.
