Course Overview
In this course Paul Movsessian will cover: The functions of moxibustion with specific treatment examples. Burn management and moxa adverse events. Moxibustion in Early Chinese Medicine and its relation to the origin of Meridians: A Study on the Unearthed Literatures and propagated sensation also called moxibustion-aesthesia. Ontake - short bamboo/warm bamboo and the application of Dr. Manaka Channel Rhythms. We will also study the non-pattern based bamboo root treatment: Mini Treatment & Whole Body Bamboo Max Treatment. In particular we will learn how the ontake can be applied to other systems and also treat specific conditions. Nepal Moxa Pole Method as developed by Hata Minae sensei. This method uses a thick diameter, 27mm pole moxa to give the heat directly to a thin Japanese cloth placed on the body. Using with the pole moxa supporter reduces the smoke significantly. The heat transmitted is like the warmth of the Japanese Onsen, hot mineral spring bath, and penetrates very deeply into the body. Fukaya jo-setsu-ho protocol - string for special point locations and triangle to measure special points. Junji Mizutani three step treatment approach. Doctor Shimetaros longevity treatment ST-36 moxibustion - New Moon eight day method for longevity.
