Course Overview

Acupuncturists offices receive more and more people with the desire to lose weight every day. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, it is common for the professional to associate the difficulty of losing weight with the energy imbalance of the Spleen. However, in clinical practice it is possible to see that, many times, the imbalance of the Spleen is not the main factor of difficulty in a patients weight loss and other more important imbalances must be treated so that weight loss is possible. In this lecture I will teach you how to diagnose and treat with diet therapy, systemic and auricular acupuncture points the most common imbalances that make it difficult for our patients to lose weight.

  • Review the functions of the Spleen in Chinese Medicine
  • Understand Spleen imbalances and how to treat them if the person have difficulties in losing weight
  • Recognize other organs involved in weight loss difficulties
  • Learn basic diet therapy, acupuncture points and auriculotherapy that can help the patient lose weight

Physiotherapist since 2002 with specialization in acupuncture, exercise physiology and global posture reeducation. Traditional Chinese Medicine professor at several schools in Brazil and coordinator of the post-graduate course in acupuncture at Instituto Educacional Veronesi (IEDUV). Also acts as a national and international speaker.
