Course Overview

This course provides an introduction and overview of models of Psychospiritual Development and East Asian Medicine. It will look at various models and perspectives of consciousness, levels of development, and how East Asian medicine fits into these frameworks. An overview will be given on the 8 circuit model of consciousness which is explored in more depth in following courses and important concepts and terms that pertain to exploring psychospiritual development. Relevant key concepts to the exploration of states and stages are also discussed. Concepts of transpersonal states and their role in personal development are explored. Neurological imprinting and re-imprinting, critical periods of development, shocks and anchors, spiritual emergencies and neuro-relativity and their relevance to this material will be introduced.

Course Objectives

  • Learn the overview of the 8 circuit model of consciousness.
  • Be able to define and describe topic-specific terms such as reality tunnel, metaprogramming etc.
  • Learn the fundamentals of circuit dynamics and vertical relationships of shocks and anchors within the model.

Course Outline

0 hrs - 15 minIntroduction and outline of the 8 circuit model of consciousness.

15 min - 30 minOverview of vertical relationships and hierarchy compared to complexity.

30 min - 45 minDefinition of treadmilling, belief structure and neurological imprinting.

45 min - 1 hrsExploration of shocks and anchors.

1 hrs - 1.25 hrsIntroduction to neuro-relativity and recommended/related reading and resources.
